Mr. King is an experienced transactional lawyer. He represents closely held businesses, small business owners, individuals, and fiduciaries in matters involving business operations and contracts, estate and succession planning, real estate and miscellaneous contracts, and estate and trust administrations. His representation of small businesses includes the drafting of operating agreements, shareholder agreements, buy-sell agreements, leases, employment agreements, and service contracts. His practice also includes the selection and formation of various business entities, including limited liability companies and corporations. His real estate practice includes the representation of developers, landlords, and other residential and commercial property owners, sellers and purchasers with regard to planning, purchase agreements, leases, and zoning matters. His estate planning practice includes the preparation of trusts, wills, powers of attorney and health care directives.
Mr. King received his B.A. degree with a major in Economics from the College of Wooster in 1981 and his J.D. degree from Capital University Law School in 1984.
Mr. King is a member of the Geauga County, Lake County and Ohio State Bar Associations. Mr. King is also a member of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section of the Ohio State Bar Association.
When not practicing law, Mr. King enjoys remaining active in sports, including playing golf and coaching baseball. He has coached youth baseball, CYO baseball for Notre Dame Elementary School, and is currently a baseball coach at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School.
